PERSONALITY: When it comes to his work Barty tends to operate on one of two levels: passion about his field of study with an enthusiasm bordering on giddiness; or a laser-focused determination to get his job done. Most of his work is either his own research or commissioned from the University, though he does take the occasional assignment from private collectors. He tries to operate with as tight-knit a crew as possible, all people that he knows that he can trust. He's also got a tendency of needling anybody who's hiring him for a job - but Barty's very good in this field, and his demeanor gets results.

Outside of archaeology, Barty's fairly easygoing. He's well-read and has a dry, usually sarcastic sense of humor. He tends to not be terribly up-to-date with pop culture, as his schedule of constant moving and travel keeps him from marathoning whatever show his friends have been raving about.
